Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens played out a goalless draw in the top of the table clash at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Omagwa.
Bayelsa Queens started the brighter of the two sides in the first half, but Rofiat Bankole failed to convert the numerous chances that came her way.
Both sides huffed and puffed, but no real attacking quality to break the deadlock and the first half ended goalless.
Rivers Angels came out from the dressing room with more desire to win the game but Sylvia Echefu in goal for Bayelsa Queens was equal to everything that was thrown at her by the host and the encounter ended goalless.
Technical Adviser Bayelsa Queens, Whyte Ogbonda after the game said it was not the result they wanted, but it was a good outing.
“We came with a game plan, but our missed chances cost us the three points”, Whyte said.
“The most important thing is that we did not lose the game and we have qualified for the Super Six, we came back home with a point which is okay. We will go home and work on ourselves to convert our chances in our next match”, Whyte Ogbonda added.
Bayelsa Queens will take on Adamawa Queens while Rivers Angels will play away to Heartland Queens at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri in the Match Day 16 encounter.
