Asec Mimosas of Cote d’ Ivoire won the fifth edition of rhe Wafu Zone B CAF Womem’s Champions League qualifiers beating Nigerian Women’s Football League Premiership Champions Bayelsa Queens 8-7 on penalties at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro, on Friday 5th September, 2025. The Nigerian title holders and 2022 winners of the Wafu Zone B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers Bayelsa Queens, fell behind in the 5th minute, when Ani Prisca Diallo scored for the host. The Prosperity Girls pushed for a fight back came through as they equalized 13 minutes later through Emem Esseien’s header and with parity restored, Bayelsa Queens put pressure on the defense of the host but could not get the much needed goal to end the first 45 minutes 1-1. After the restart, the girls from Yenagoa did everything to score, but the Ivoiriens were thwarting their effort. At the end of 90 minutes and extra 30 minutes, it was still 1-1 and it went to penalty and Bayelsa Queens lost 7-8 to
