Whyte backs Prosperity Girls despite draw

Bayelsa Queens Technical Adviser, Whyte Ogbonda has rallied behind his players who has already sealed a place in the 2025 NWFL Super Six despite their 1-1 draw to Adamawa Queens away on Wednesday 16 April, 2025.

The girls from Yenagoa, scored first in the 8th minutes through Delight Isaac while Adamawa Queens levelled in the second half by Katon Waken in the 48 minutes.

Whyte said irrespective of their draw to Adamawa Queens, he gives thumb up to his players.

“The result wasn’t a reflection of the players’ performance but I have believe in my players to do the needful at the end of the season.

“I’m satisfied with the players’ performance, one thing about football, you win some, draw some and lose some,” Whyte said.

Bayelsa Queens have won nine matches, drawn three and have not lost a game in 12 matches.

Next for the Prosperity Girls is a South – South derby game against perennial rivals Rivers Angels on Wednesday 23 April, 2025, at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
